Saved picture different from one that was saved.

Pick a picture and then decide to change the ground. Select area and then stones for the effect. Hi lite the area and confirm. Choose mediteranean effect and hit O.K. Then we save. When we go back into the picture it has saved a much lighter picture than the one we O.K.'d. Any reason we are having this problem? This has happened on numerous pictures.

Hi Kayric,

My initial guess is that this has something to do with colour profiles. Could you check this for me please: Just load in a picture and save it out without changing it. Does that also come out lighter?

Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony

The pictures we download are just fine. Only after doing ground effects are we seeing this problem.

I'd guess it's a specific effect that has this problem. Could you tell me which one it is?

Thanks,

Tony

The effect we are talking about is located under stones [code]and is called mediteranean.

We don't have an effect called mediteranean in our database (unless you made one yourself and didn't share it), we do have one called "mediterranean sunset colors". Is that the one you mean? Do you see the problem after just selecting Stones and applying that effect to the stones?

Hi Tony,

That is the correct effect. Yes that is what happens.

Here's what I did:
Opened a picture
Chose Select Area
Picked "Stones"
Chose mediterranean sunset colors and hit Ok

I took a look at that effect and it only changes the areas you selected. After saving the picture, the colours were the same as in the software. If all the colours in the image are changed it does still sound like a colour profile issue. Would you mind uploading the before and after images here? Then I can take a look.

We have been looking at the pictures you sent and we can see there is an issue with color profiles in the output from Smart Photo Editor Studio. We are investigating and will get back to you.
