Why can't I save a tone effect?

Why can't I save a tone effect?

Need to be able to save Tone Effects for later use. The batch feature is okay but once I quit out of my image, I won't be able to retrieve the settings.

I see what you are saying. Perhaps if you could save a tone effect in your favourites list like any other effect. Would that be good?
