Sparkles/Glitter

I am still fairly new but there are so many effects that it is a bit overwhelming lol. I have found a few sparkles effects but no real glitter effects - can anyone help and point me in the right direction or if someone can make something that would be even cooler - I do a lot of dark photo manipulations on Deviant Art and always looking for sparkles lol. And more rainbow things too would be awesome.
