Trying to figure out how to use the selection tool for Mac. Nothing I am trying seems to work. Can't select, for example, "Subject" to apply an effect to. I've used this on my PC, but just went on the road with my MAC and now can't seem to figure out this probably very easy issue!

Thanks for response.
Nothing much happens when I try selecting subject using the edge finder. (Once in awhile, it does manage to select a small red area, but I don't seem to have much control over it.) However, I clicked over to the Lasso and that's working fine for the purpose. I'll just use that on my Mac. Thanks.
