opening scanned pictures, not photos

After complaining, all of a sudden I'm getting along famously! I'm fixing all my photos. Now I scaned a pen and ink sketch and I can't upload it. Will I be able to upload artwork at all or is this just something I can't do?

There is no difference to smart photo editor between a jpeg file that is scanned in and one that is taken from your camera. What kind of problem are you having?
