Can I save a montage for future editing?

I want to build a montage but I want to know if I can stop and save my montage and finish it at a later date. I thought that was save a session but apparently that is not was it does.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Save session does work for me. Started a new montage, added texture background, border and two layer, saved as session and a reload does work fine here..

Did you use the latest version? 1.19.29?
