roblems opening sme effects

When using effets, the programs suddenly freezes, and I have to 'sut down'. This is very iritating. Why does this happen?

SPE not responding? This can happen when the effect is a bit heavy (need time to render) give it some time and SPE wil turn back normaly, atleast that what I see, its happends to me occasionally

Arwin is right, some effects take more time to render than others. Are there any effects in particular that you've noticed that with?
