Bulletin Board issues

There seem to be some things with this BB that aren't working as I'd expect.
1. I created a signature and set my board preferences to automatically append it to my posts. This isn't happening.
2. While I have my global preference set to not be notified of activity, I have checked the option at the bottom of a new message to be notified when a reply is posted. This isn't happening, either.
Can anyone tell me if there's something that I need to do, or is there an issue with the BBS itself?
