I also love this effect....

Can anyone tell me how i can tone down just the head of the bird? :)

You can use any software, including Smart Photo Editor, to isolate the head then darken it or burn it in.

Choose Select Area, and name it "overexposed".
Select the head (which should only need a single click with the smart brush)
Press confirm and browse effects
Select "Darken" from the list on the right
Browse the results.

Unfortunately it looks like there isn't much detail in the overexposed area (at least in the picture I downloaded from the forum). Only the area at the bottom of the face has some more detail that can be recovered. If you have a RAW version of the picture, that would work better.

N.B. We are currently working on a new feature that makes the process of recovering highlights etc quicker than the above.
