Snowy Weather

Postby Arwin » Sun Oct 20, 2013 11:53 pm

With the snowy season in front of us, I created some new snowflake effects to spice up your photos even more (also great with Christmas in mind)
You will find the effects in the category 'Mood' Subcategory 'Snow' and 'Winter' (Mood > Snow and Mood > Winter)

Effect names explained:
Effect name: Snowy Weather X-Y
Effect name: Snowy Weather Nostalgic X-Y

Where X is 1, 2 or 3 and Y is the type of snowflake (1-7),
1) No further image processing than a small contrast change to get a more realistic winter feel to the image.
2) 1 plus a more blizzard, dark like image processing.
3) 1 & 2 plus a bit more cloudy/foggy touch.

So if you like snowflake type 5, you can also try the other version with the same snowflake like, Snowy Weather 1-5, Snowy Weather 2-5 or Snowy Weather 3-5
I've created this serie also with an nostalgic touch to it, you can find it as 'Snowy Weather Nostalgic 1-5', so in the end, when you've choosen snowflake type 5 there are 6 different versions of it!

Every effect puts a line on your image which give you the possibility to alter the area where the snowflakes will be visible, drag it up or down to respectively remove flakes or make them visible again, seen from bottom to top.
It's even possible to drag one side of the line (top or bottom) to left or right, to play with the flaks diagonally.

Hope you all enjoy them as I did to create them :)

Hi Arwin,

Just had a little look at your new 'snow' effects - they look great & I'm sure many users will find them very useful including myself.

Well done on another fabulous set of effects.

Cheers,

Andrew

Thanks Tony, Alberto and Andrew!

I've uploaded the whole serie now, so they will be active soon I think.
Still working on some Christmas related effects, you will see them soon :)

I've uploaded the Nostalgic versions again with a minor change in them, because the system rejected them as they where identical to the 'normal' Snowy weather serie (only tone node settings where different. Not the first time I stumbled on this and don't think the last time ;) hahaha)
